We have been set up at 12 1 3 Mproad in Kolkata for quite a while now. The morning commute is usually a bit of a struggle with the traffic around this part of town, but once you get inside the building, things quiet down a little. Pricewaterhousecoopers occupies this space, and it’s mostly just rows of desks and people focused on their screens. It is not some ultra-modern high-rise, just a practical place where we handle the day-to-day business. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we usually go when the afternoon slump hits. The street noise from MP Road is always there in the background, but it becomes like white noise after a few weeks. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff we need to get the work finished. Sometimes the internet slows down or the printer jams, and we just deal with it like everyone else does. It is a very normal office environment. Most of us have been working here together for a long time, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We aren't looking to impress anyone with big speeches; we just stay busy with the files and the numbers. Lunch is usually spent at our desks or in the tiny break area. It is a straightforward operation here in the 700026 area, and we just keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on our desks.
