123 Greetings

We are over here at B 295 in Lake Gardens, Kolkata. It’s a pretty quiet spot compared to the rest of the city, which is nice when you’re trying to think. We have been doing this for a while now, mostly just sending out cards and messages to people who want to stay in touch. It’s not like those big fancy tech companies you see in the news. We started small, just a few of us sitting around desks, and we’re still basically that. The office isn’t much to look at, just some computers and a lot of old files, but it works for what we do. Sometimes the internet acts up, or the tea lady is late, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. People think sending 123 Greetings is easy, but there’s a lot of clicking and checking involved. We spend most of our days making sure things look right before they go out. It gets humid in the summers, so we keep the fans going all day. If you walk past the building, you might not even know we are here since there’s no big sign or anything. We just like keeping things simple and local. It’s funny how things have changed from paper to digital, but the feeling of wanting to say hello to someone hasn’t really gone away. That’s why we still show up every morning and get to work at our desks in Kol 75.
