Our office for 2Coms Consulting Pvt Ltd is at 97 Sd Block E in New Alipore. New Alipore is a pretty decent part of Kolkata to be in, with more trees and parks than you see in other districts. Our spot is a regular building, nothing too flashy on the outside to catch your eye. Inside, we have set up our workspace with just the basics. There are desks, some fairly comfortable chairs, and a small area for filing all the paperwork we still handle manually. We aren't big on the whole corporate shine. The walls are mostly bare, except for maybe a clock that is five minutes fast and a few old photos. We spend our days mostly on the phone or typing away at our stations. It gets a bit noisy when everyone is talking at once during the busy hours, but we are all used to it by now. There’s a small pantry where we keep our lunch boxes and a fridge that makes a weird humming noise in the corner. We don't have a big mission statement hanging up in the entryway. We are just here to do our consulting work. Most of the people working here live in the southern part of the city, so the commute isn't too bad for them. We have a routine that involves a lot of coffee and the occasional debate about where to order lunch from. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't try to sound bigger than we are.
