I live and work near Dum Dum Junction in Kolkata. My place is at 2 Bepin Ganguly Road. I am the Presently Freelance Administrator Of Tenant Referencing Co. Most of my day is spent looking at papers and checking that everyone’s details are right. It is not the most exciting work but it is important to get it done correctly. I have been in this neighborhood for a long time. The trains can be a bit noisy but I am used to them by now. I don't have a big staff or a corporate office. It is just me at my table with my files. I handle the applications as they come in. Sometimes people send in things that are a mess and I have to fix them. I don't mind the extra work. I think it is better to be thorough. I don't use any of those fancy systems. I just use what makes sense to me. If you call, you get me and not some machine. I’ve seen all sorts of references over the years. Some are easy and some take a lot of phone calls to verify. I just keep going until it's finished. I like the independence of being a freelancer. It lets me set my own pace. I’m usually here every day getting through the pile. That is basically what I do for now. It keeps me busy enough and pays the bills.
