People Power

Our office for People Power is over at 2 9 Baibhar Cooperative Society in Patuli. It is right opposite the Baishnabghata Fire Station, which is the best way to explain where we are to anyone visiting. Having the fire station right there means it can get a bit loud when the sirens go off, but you get used to it. The cooperative society is a quiet enough place most of the time. We have a small room here where we handle everything for People Power. It isn’t very big, but it fits our desks and the few cupboards we need for storage. We aren't much for fancy office furniture. Most of what we have is functional and has been with us for a while. We like the community vibe in Patuli. It feels like a neighborhood where people actually talk to each other. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question. We don’t have a big sign out front, just a small one so people know they’re in the right place. Inside, the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting things done. We focus on our daily list and try to stay organized. It’s a humble spot, but it’s our spot. We are just a local business doing the work that comes our way. We've been part of this society for years now and it feels like home.
