We are based over on New Ballygunj Road in Kolkata, specifically at a place called Alap on the first floor. It is care of Mr. Nilay Saha. Paradigm Shift Placement Educational Consultants is a bit of a long name, but basically, we spend our time helping people with their school and job plans. The office has that old Kolkata feel to it because it is in a residential style building. We have books and files tucked into every corner because there is always so much information to keep track of when it comes to colleges and job placements. It is definitely not a polished corporate environment. We have wooden chairs and big windows that let in all the noise from the street below. People come in, sit down, and we talk about their future, which can feel like a big responsibility. We try to be as helpful as possible and give them the facts without any of the fancy talk you might get from the bigger agencies. Some days we are flooded with students after the exam results come out, and the whole place feels very crowded and loud. Other times, it is just Mr. Saha and a couple of us working through the latest application forms. We have been in this spot for a while now and most people nearby know the building. It is a local business through and through.
