Pal Associates

Pal Associates is based in Kolkata, up on the second floor of 15 Basanta Bose Road. If you know the 700 026 zip code area, you know it can be a bit of a walk to get around, but we like it here. Being on the second floor means we are a bit away from the direct noise of the street, though you can still hear the traffic and the people down below. It’s an old building, so the stairs can be a little steep if you aren't used to them. We’ve been in this office for quite some time, and the walls are covered with folders and papers from various jobs we’ve worked on. It’s not the most organized-looking place, but we know where everything is. We usually have the fans running all day to keep the Kolkata heat at bay. Most of our work involves sitting at the desks and talking on the phone or meeting with people who come by for advice. It’s a simple setup—just some desks, chairs, and a small area where we make tea. We don’t really do any big marketing. Most of our visitors are people from the local area who have heard our name. We like the rhythm of Basanta Bose Road. It’s a place where you get to know the neighbors after a while. We stay busy with the daily tasks and just try to keep things moving along for everyone who comes by.
