You can find Padmalaxmi Cotton Mills Private Limited over at 4A Jackson Lane. Some people still call it Indra Kumar Karnani Street, but most of us just say Jackson Lane. We are on the first floor in Room No. 17. It’s a very busy area, right in the thick of the old trading district. If you’ve ever walked down those streets, you know it’s a maze of shops and offices. Our room is small and packed with files and samples. It’s not the kind of place where you’d hold a big corporate meeting. Usually, it’s just one or two of us sitting there handling the daily chores. The building is old and has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit steep for some. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. We don’t do a lot of shouting about who we are. People who need us usually know where to find us. It’s a practical setup. We deal with the mills and all the headaches that come with that. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to hear the fans whirring. We don't have a big grand vision or anything. We just want to do right by people and keep things going for another year. It's a lot of work, but we are used to it by now.
