We have been here at 35 1A Ghraham Road for a while now. Kolkata 40 is a busy area but our office stays pretty focused on the work at hand. Pacific Consultancy isn't some giant firm with fancy lobbies. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks, taking calls and going through paperwork. Sometimes the tea man comes by twice if it’s a long afternoon. We handle different types of consulting jobs that people bring to us. It’s a lot of talking and figuring things out on paper first. People walk in with questions about their business or projects, and we try to give them straight answers without making it too complicated. The fans hum all day and the street noise outside is just part of the background. We like being in this part of the city because it feels real. Not every day is perfect, sometimes the internet acts up or we get a pile of files that takes longer than expected to sort through. We just get on with it. It is a small setup but it works for what we do. We don't spend much on decorations because we’d rather just get the filing done. Most of our regulars know where to find us. If the door is open, someone is usually inside working on a spreadsheet or checking some local regulations. It’s just honest work from a small office in Kolkata. We don't need much more than our pens and a working phone.
