Ori-Plast Limited

Strand Road is always a mess of traffic, but that’s just how it is here in this part of the city. We are up on the third floor of number 40, and the building has been around for a long time. You can hear the horns honking from down below all day while we get through the paperwork for the plastic pipes and fittings we deal with. It’s not a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. We have wooden desks that have seen better days and stacks of ledgers everywhere. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a second to breathe. Ori-Plast Limited has been operating from this spot for quite a while now. Most of the people working here have been with us for years, so we all know each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. When the monsoon hits, the rain drums against the window panes so loud you can hardly hear the phone ring. We just keep things moving, making sure the orders for the tanks and pipes are sorted out and the trucks are loaded correctly down at the depot. It’s a lot of coordination and sometimes it gets stressful when the traffic on Strand Road gets backed up, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest thing in the world, just keeping the lights on and the business running steady from our little corner on the third floor.
