Oms Earthmovers

Oms Earthmovers is at 9B, Khairu Place, which is quite close to the Chandni Chowk Metro Station. If you know that part of town, you know it’s crowded and loud. We deal with heavy machinery and parts for earthmoving equipment. It’s a greasy, dusty business. We have racks of heavy metal parts and tools everywhere. It’s not the kind of place you go to wear your best clothes. We deal with contractors and guys who work out in the field. They need parts fast because if a machine is sitting idle, they are losing money. We try to keep the common stuff in stock. Sometimes we have to dig through the back to find an old gear or a specific seal. The shop has been here for years. We’ve seen the metro being built and the whole area change around us. But we just keep selling our parts. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy things. My back usually hurts by the end of the day. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or a social media person. We just have a landline and a lot of regulars who stop by. If you need a part for a JCB or a crane, we might have it. If not, we usually know who does. It is hard work but it's what we know.
