Our office is at 17, Chittaranjan Avenue, also up on the 4th floor. Being on such a major road means there is never a quiet moment, with the sound of the buses and trams always drifting up through the windows. Oasis Agencies Pvt. Ltd. is basically a hub of boxes and invoices. We spend most of our time coordinating between the manufacturers and the local shops that need stock. The hallway leading to our door is usually lined with cartons that just arrived and haven't been sorted yet. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs if the elevator is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. Inside, the space is divided into a few small sections where we handle the accounts and the shipping details. We have a small pantry in the back where the tea is made twice a day, and that’s usually when we get a chance to catch up on things. The desks are covered in sticky notes and pens that always seem to run out of ink when you need them. We don't have a big reception area, so visitors usually just walk straight into the main room where we are working. It’s a functional space designed for getting things moved from one place to another. We’ve been in this building for quite a while and have gotten used to the peeling wallpaper and the way the lights flicker occasionally.
