No Service

We have been set up here in Balitikuri for a good while now. The shop is called No Service, which people sometimes find a bit funny when they walk by our spot in Surkimil Chakpara. It is just a name we picked, and it stuck over the years as we went about our business in Howrah. We open up pretty early most mornings when the street starts getting noisy with people heading to work. The building itself is not anything special to look at, just a regular place in the neighborhood where we spend our time. Sometimes when it rains hard, the lane gets a bit muddy and slow, but that is just part of living in this part of town. We do not really do any advertising or anything fancy like that. Most folks know where we are because they live nearby or walk past us every afternoon on their way home. It gets quite humid here in the summer months, but we just keep the old fans going and stay busy with whatever needs doing that day. We have seen the area change a bit, with more small shops popping up and more traffic on the main road, but our corner remains pretty much the same as it always was. If you are looking for us, we are right there in the middle of the Chakpara area. It is a simple setup we have, nothing too complicated or professional-looking, just a place where we do our work.
