Nisa Creations

We are Nisa Creations and we work out of the second floor at 37/38 Armenian Street. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs, especially when you are carrying bags or boxes. The building is one of those older ones that has seen better days, but it has a lot of character. Downstairs, the street is always noisy with traders and bikes, but up here on the second floor, it gets a bit quieter. We have a couple of rooms where we keep our samples and the sewing machines or whatever we are working on at the time. It’s a bit cluttered, to be honest. There are scraps of fabric and thread everywhere you look. We aren't big on organizing everything perfectly; we just know where things are when we need them. My cousin usually helps out with the accounts, and we have a few others who come in daily. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep us going. The light coming through the windows isn't great, so we have those bright tubelights on all the time. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. If someone likes what we make, they tell a friend, and that’s how we get most of our work. It’s a decent life and we enjoy the rhythm of the street. Armenian Street has its own soul, and we are just a small part of it. We stay late some nights when an order needs finishing.
