You can find Nicco Internet Ventures Ltd at F 12 Kali Chatterjee Avenue in Garia. It is a busy little area of Kolkata and our office fits right in with the surrounding buildings. We are on the first floor, so you have to climb up some narrow stairs to reach us. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of empty coffee mugs. We started out here because it was easy for the staff to reach from the metro. It isn’t a large space, and things can get a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time. The walls have a few old calendars hanging on them and some scribbled notes about various web tasks we are working on. We don't have a cleaning crew that comes in every hour, so there’s usually a bit of dust on the shelves. Most days are spent looking at screens and trying to figure out technical problems. It gets pretty loud outside during the evening rush hour, but we are used to the sounds of the city by now. We don't really do big meetings or presentations here. Usually, it's just two or three of us sitting together and looking at a monitor to fix something. It’s a very simple setup. We like the local shops nearby for lunch because they make good rolls. It’s an honest place to work and we don't try to pretend it’s a big headquarters.
