We’ve been set up here at Camac Street for a while now, specifically in room 409 of the Shantiniketan Building. It’s a busy spot in the city, but we like being in the middle of everything where all the action happens. Dealing with infrastructure and development projects keeps our hands full most days of the week. Usually, you’ll find us huddled over some old plans or on calls with site supervisors trying to sort out the next phase of a job. We aren't a huge team with fancy glass offices or anything like that. We are just a dedicated group working out of this small space. Living and working in Kolkata means you get used to the noise and the fast pace. Most of our mornings start with a quick cup of tea while we look at the messy schedule on the wall. Things don't always go according to the original plan in construction, so we spend a lot of time just adjusting and fixing mistakes. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit from our office window over the years. It involves a lot of paperwork and back-and-forth with different people, but that's just how the business goes for us. When folks come by the office, they usually see a lot of files and maps spread out across the desks. We don't really do the whole corporate polish thing. We just focus on getting the work done. Sometimes it’s stressful, especially when deadlines are tight or the weather isn't cooperating for site work, but we manage somehow.
