Ngrs Buildtech Llp is based out of the Shantiniketan Building at 8 Camac Street. You’ll find us on the 4th floor in Room 408. It’s a busy office, mostly because we’re always trying to keep track of various building projects. We focus a lot on the technical side of how things are put together. Sometimes that means we’re buried in blueprints or staring at computer screens for hours. We don't really have a fancy reception area; it’s more about the work we do. Building technology sounds like a big term, but for us, it just means making sure the walls are straight and the materials are good. We’ve had our share of mistakes over the years, and that’s how we’ve learned what works and what doesn't. You can’t really learn this stuff just from a book. You have to be out there on the sites, getting your hands dirty and seeing how the structures hold up. Kolkata is a tough environment for buildings because of the humidity and the rain, so we have to be careful. We try to keep our overhead low and our focus on the actual construction. We’re just regular people trying to do a solid job. We like the neighborhood here on Camac Street because it’s easy to get to, even if the parking is usually a disaster. We just keep moving forward with the work and try to be as practical as possible.
