We are over at Chopra House on the second floor. 133 Canning Street is a busy area, especially with all the traffic around Bbd Bagh. Newera Soft Luggage Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this floor for a good bit now. We mostly handle bags, suitcases, and that kind of thing. If you walk up the stairs, you’ll see piles of materials and zippers lying around. It’s a working office, so it isn’t always the tidiest. We spend our mornings talking to suppliers and our afternoons checking on the stock. The noise from Canning Street comes right through the windows, but you get used to it after a week or two. We aren't a big flashy showroom. It’s just where the business happens. We deal with a lot of soft-sided luggage because it’s what people seem to want for traveling these days. My desk is covered in samples and order forms. Sometimes we have a bit of a scramble when a big shipment arrives and we have to move boxes around in the hallway. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We know the other folks in the building too. The lift can be slow, so we usually just take the stairs. It’s just us here, making sure the bags get where they need to go and the paperwork is sorted out properly. It is a simple business, nothing too complicated about it really.
