Delsey Bags

We are over at Mani Square Mall, specifically Shop No. G/24 on the ground floor. It is quite easy to find us because we are near the Appollo Hospital side of the building. Delsey Bags is basically a place where we keep a lot of suitcases and travel gear. Being in a mall is different from a street shop; it’s air-conditioned and the floors are always shiny. We spend a lot of time wiping the dust off the hard-shell cases because the mall lights show every little speck. People usually come in when they are planning a big trip or if their old bag finally gave out at the airport. We show them how the wheels move and how the locks work. It’s a lot of opening and closing zippers all day long. Sometimes it gets really quiet on weekday mornings, so we just sit and watch people walk past the glass. Then on weekends, it gets crazy with families everywhere. We don't have a big sales pitch. We just let people pull the bags around the shop to see if they like the feel. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot of different sizes in there. It’s a clean, simple place to work. We like being near the hospital entrance because it’s a bit calmer than the main mall middle. Just a regular luggage shop doing its thing every day from morning until the mall closes.
