New Howrah Bakery (Bapuji) Pvt. Ltd.

Our place is tucked away in Swastik Centre over on 8- Crooked Lane. Most people around here just call us Bapuji, which is how New Howrah Bakery (Bapuji) Pvt. Ltd. got its identity over the years. Being on Crooked Lane is exactly how it sounds. The road twists a bit and it can be a little tricky for the bigger delivery vans to get right to the door. We spend a lot of time in the back where the work actually happens. The office part in Swastik Centre is where we keep the papers and handle the phone calls that come in during the day. It’s not very quiet because of the fans running and the noise from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don't have a big sign with lights or anything. Just the name on the door and the smell of the stuff we’re making that day. Sometimes the rains make the lane a bit muddy, so we have to keep cleaning the floor inside. We’ve got a small team here. We mostly just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the boxes are packed right. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it keeps us busy from early morning until the evening shift ends. We don't really do much different from day to day, just the same honest work at the same old spot in the center.
