Nestle India Ltd Under The Payroll Of A Consultancy

Being in Bijoygarh is a bit different from the big IT parks in Salt Lake. Our office is on the second floor of 4 82A, and it’s basically an old building that’s seen better days. We work under a consultancy for the big brand name, which sounds complicated but it’s just how the contracts are set up. We show up, do the work, and go home. There’s no big cafeteria here, so we usually just bring dabbas from home or go to the small tea shop at the corner. The stairs are a bit steep and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it’s home for us during the day. Kolkata summers are tough, and the small AC units try their best. We mostly handle data and payroll stuff for the staff. It’s not the kind of place where you’d see people in suits. We wear what’s comfortable and get the files sorted. Sometimes the traffic in South Kolkata makes us late, but everyone understands. We have a small window that looks out over the street, so we can see the rickshaws passing by. It’s a quiet life here. We don’t have big corporate events or anything. Just the usual birthdays with some sweets from the local shop. It’s a small group of us and we get along fine without any of that fancy management talk. It is just a job at the end of the day.
