Nayan Traders

Nayan Traders is right here on Old China Bazar Street. Number 194. It’s a busy street, always crowded with people and carts. We’ve been in this spot for years. The shop is narrow, but we pack a lot into it. You have to watch your step because of the boxes in the hallway. We deal with all sorts of things throughout the day. People come looking for specific items and we usually have them tucked away somewhere in the back. It’s loud outside but inside it’s just the sound of the fan and us talking. We don’t have much time for fancy talk. We just sell what people need. My father started this, and I just took over. The shelves are wooden and old. Sometimes they creak. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. We share tea and complain about the traffic. That’s just life in China Bazar Street. It’s a bit messy sometimes. We don’t mind. As long as the stock is moving, we’re happy. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but who has the time? We are usually here by nine in the morning. We don’t leave until everything is squared away. It's a long day, but it's what we do. We don't need anything more than this small space to get things done. It keeps us busy. We find what we need eventually even if it's buried under a pile.
