National Insurance Company

We are over here at 3 Middleton Street in Kolkata. This is the head office for National Insurance Company. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s an old building, and there is always something going on. People are moving files, desks are cluttered with papers, and the phones don't really stop ringing. It is just the way things are in a place this big. We have been in this spot for quite a while now. Most of us who work here have our favorite tea stalls nearby where we go when we need a quick break from the spreadsheets. The traffic on the street outside can be a bit much during lunch hours, but that is just Kolkata for you. We don't really do anything fancy here. It's mostly just people sitting at their desks, checking documents, and making sure the records are where they should be. Sometimes it feels like the building itself has a lot of stories to tell because it’s been around for so long. We see a lot of faces coming through the doors every day, some looking for help with their policies and others just here for meetings. We try to keep things moving as best as we can. It’s not always quiet, and sometimes the fans hum a bit too loud, but we get the work done. It’s a steady kind of life here in the middle of the city.
