Nathumal & Sons

We are based at 35 Ezra Street. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know it’s one of the busiest places you can find. There are lights and wires everywhere, and people are always shouting over the noise of the traffic. Nathumal & Sons has been part of this chaos for a long time. My grandfather started this, then my father took over, and now it’s our turn to keep it going. The shop isn’t very large, and we have boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We don't have any fancy displays or a showroom. People come here because they know we’ve been around and we have the stock. It’s a lot of manual work, moving crates and checking lists by hand. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signs. The old wooden desk has been here since the beginning, and I don't think we’ll ever replace it. It’s just a family business trying to get through the day’s work. We drink a lot of chai and talk to the other shopkeepers on the street while we wait for deliveries. It’s not a polished life, but it’s our life. We’re just glad to still be here at number 35 after all these years. It is a messy place, but we call it home for our business.
