Nas Academy For Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Foundation

Our place is at 2A/1 Nilmoni Row. It’s a bit different from most of the offices you find in this city because we are the Nas Academy For Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Foundation. Instead of just desks and computers everywhere, we often have climbing ropes, heavy backpacks, and other outdoor gear lying around the rooms. Nilmoni Row is a relatively quiet spot, which is nice when we are trying to plan out trips or teach someone how to tie complicated knots. We are all into the outdoors ourselves, so the academy is more of a passion project that turned into a real business. We spend a lot of our time talking about mountains and trekking trails. The building is an old one, typical of this part of town, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it cool. It stays fairly comfortable even when it’s baking hot outside. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know our way around a mountain. People come to us when they want to learn something beyond just sitting in a classroom. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the adventure equipment, but that’s just the nature of what we do here. We aren't trying to be a polished sports club; we just want to get people ready for the outdoors. If you walk past 2A/1 and see some people practicing with gear, that’s probably us. We’ve been here for a while now and the neighbors don't even look twice anymore.
