Kenn School Of Music And Musical Store

We are located on Bhukailash Road in Khidirpur. It is a bit of a mix here because we have the music store at the front and then spaces for lessons in the back. You can usually hear someone practicing a guitar or a keyboard if you walk by. We have all sorts of instruments lying around, some new and some that need a bit of repair. People come in to buy strings or just to ask about classes. It is not a very big shop, so it gets a bit crowded with all the instrument cases and amplifiers on the floor. We have been in this spot for a while now. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and people talking, but once you step inside, the music takes over. We have a few teachers who come in at different times to show the kids how to play. It is a bit disorganized sometimes, especially when a shipment of new gear arrives and we have to find space for it. We do not use any big advertisements; people mostly find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign when they walk past. It is a simple place for people who like music and instruments. We spend a lot of time tuning guitars or talking to parents about which flute or violin their child should start with. It is just our daily life here in Kolkata, surrounded by notes and old music books on the shelves.
