If you head down Kailash Ghosh Road in Kolkata, you’ll find us at number 6 4A. N C Banerjee Co has been part of this neighborhood for a long time. It’s an old area with a lot of character, and our office fits right in with the surroundings. We don't have those modern open-plan offices you see in the city center. Ours is more about cramped shelves and old wooden desks that have seen better days. It’s comfortable for us, though. The walk from the main road isn't too long, but it can get a bit muddy when the monsoon hits. We mostly deal with people from the local area who’ve known us for ages. There isn't a marketing department here or anyone to write fancy brochures. We just show up, do the work, and go home. Kolkata life moves at its own pace, and we try to keep up with that. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of work piled up, but mostly we stick to regular hours. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks. It’s a very straightforward setup. We don’t try to be something we aren't. Being based in West Bengal means we see a lot of different people coming through the door. We handle things as they come and don't make a big fuss about it. The address is quite easy to spot once you get onto the right stretch of road.
