You can find us over at 4 Govt Place, right near Raj Bhavan in the middle of Kolkata. We’re way up on the ninth floor, sharing the space with Olisa Reality. Being in the 700001 area means we’re right in the thick of things, which is handy for getting around to different parts of the city. Mundkarma Constructions Private Limited is the name on our door, but we don’t let that get to our heads. We’re just a small group of people who know how to manage construction projects without making a big scene. The office is fairly plain, mostly filled with blueprints, coffee mugs, and the sound of people talking on phones. Since we’re on the ninth floor, the view is alright, but we spend most of our time looking at schedules and site reports. We don’t go for all that corporate talk about visions or missions. We just want to get the buildings up and make sure everything is safe and solid. It’s a lot of coordination between different trades, and we try to keep it as simple as possible. People know where to find us if they need help with a project. We’ve been at this for a while and we plan to stay right here, doing the work that needs to be done. It’s not always pretty, especially with the Kolkata heat and the lift taking forever, but we get it done. We just keep things moving and focus on the day ahead.
