M/S M. N. Dastur & Co (P) Ltd

Our office is on the first floor of 5A, Wedder Burn Road, which is just off Rash Behari Avenue in Kolkata. This is a very old and busy part of the city, and we’ve been here at M/S M. N. Dastur & Co (P) Ltd for quite some time. The building has that classic Kolkata feel, with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it a bit cooler in the summer. Rash Behari Avenue is always full of people, street food, and yellow taxis, so there is never a dull moment outside our windows. Inside, it’s a different story. We keep things pretty quiet so everyone can get their work done. We handle a lot of technical documentation and engineering-related stuff here. It’s not the kind of place with modern glass walls; it’s more about wooden desks and stacks of paper. The staff has been around for years, so we all know how the system works. We don't really go for those modern management styles. We just talk to each other and get the jobs finished. Sometimes the traffic on the way to the office is a nightmare, but that’s just part of living in West Bengal. We like being in this neighborhood because everything is close by. It’s a practical, no-nonsense office where we just do our daily work without making a big fuss about it.
