M.N.Dastur &Co (P) Ltd. is located over in Beleghata, at 32 A/8 Suren Sarkar Road. This is the Kolkata-10 area. Beleghata has its own old-school charm, and our office at 32 A/8 is part of that. It’s an older building, the kind you see a lot of in this part of the city. We have been here for a while, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We arrive, open up the windows to let some air in, and settle into our work at M.N.Dastur &Co (P) Ltd. The road outside, Suren Sarkar Road, can be quite narrow and crowded, especially when there are rickshaws and delivery vans trying to get past each other. It’s just a normal, busy Kolkata street. Inside, the office is plain and functional. We have our files, some computers, and a lot of work to get through before the day ends. We don't really have any big signs or flashy lights to attract attention. It’s just 32 A/8. Most of us have worked here for years, so we know the local shops and the good places to get a quick lunch or a soda. Kolkata-10 is a busy district, but we've found our rhythm here. It’s a very down-to-earth place to be. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the day is done. That’s the reality of our office life on Suren Sarkar Road. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting things finished. It's just our little corner of the city.
