Mega Cities Association Kolkata

Our office is over at 5 Sn Banerjee Road, right inside the Kolkata Municipal Corporation building. We are on the 2nd floor, in Room No 209. If you know Kolkata, you know this area is always crowded and full of energy. Working here means we are right in the thick of the city’s heart. The building itself has a lot of history, and our room is just a small part of it. We spend our time dealing with various association matters. It involves a lot of paperwork and talking to different people who stop by. The fans overhead hum all day long to keep the air moving. We aren't a big flashy organization. We are just a group of people working in a shared space. Sometimes it’s hard to find our room because the corridors are long and look the same, but we’re there. We deal with the daily issues that come with running an association in a place as big as Kolkata. There's no fancy lounge or coffee machine. We usually just get tea from the vendor outside. It’s a very grounded way of working. We’ve been at this for a while and don't plan on moving. The location is central, which makes it easier for everyone to find us eventually. We just keep our heads down and do the tasks that are required of us. It’s a lot of meetings and filing, but it’s what we do. The stairs are a bit steep, and the elevators are slow, but we make it work.
