Max Life Insurance has an office at 26 B on Dr Suresh Sarkar Road, inside the Nihon Apartments in Kolkata. This isn't one of those huge glass buildings you see in the city center. Instead, we are located in a more traditional apartment block with the 700014 pin code. It has a very local feel to it, and you can smell the food cooking from the neighboring apartments around lunchtime. Our office space is 26 B, and it is packed with filing cabinets and desks. We spend a lot of time going through forms and updating records for the people who come to see us. Kolkata can be very hot and humid, so we keep the fans going all day long. The office is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We have a small area with some chairs for visitors to sit while we look up their information. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we know each other's habits and how we like our tea. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone trying to sell things in the office. We just handle the administrative side of the insurance work. Dr Suresh Sarkar Road is a busy street, but once you step into Nihon Apartments, it gets a little quieter. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. Usually, the files are the main thing we look at all afternoon.
