Matsya Samriddhi Private Limited is situated at 39A, Lake Gardens in Kolkata. It’s a nice, mostly residential area, which makes our fish-related business feel a little different from the usual shops around here. We have a small office where we manage everything. We don't keep a huge amount of stock at this specific address; it’s more of a hub where we handle the paperwork and coordinate with our suppliers. People in Kolkata really know their fish, so we have to stay on top of things every day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking our records to make sure deliveries are going where they need to go. It’s not a very glamorous job. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets, and a lot of lists. Sometimes there are delays with the shipments and we have to spend the whole afternoon trying to track things down, which can be a bit stressful. But we’ve been doing this in Lake Gardens for a while now and we have a good rhythm. We don't do any big advertisements or have a fancy website. Most people find out about us through others in the trade. We just focus on being fair and doing our work properly. It’s a steady business and we like being part of this neighborhood. We show up, do the management work, and try to keep everything moving as it should. It's a decent place to spend the day.
