You can find Martech Engineering Pvt. Ltd. over at 8, Camac Street. We are up on the 6th floor of the Shantiniketan Building. Being in this part of Kolkata means there is always a lot of traffic and noise downstairs, but it gets a bit quieter once you get up to our floor. The building is one of those older ones that has seen a lot of different businesses come and go over the decades. Our office is pretty functional—lots of blueprints, some technical manuals, and several computers running engineering software. We deal with various mechanical and technical projects, so the day is usually spent looking at drawings or talking to site managers on the phone. The lift in Shantiniketan can be a bit slow during the lunch hour when everyone is trying to head out at once, so we usually just wait it out. It’s not a very big team here, just a few engineers and some support staff. We don’t go in for big decorations or fancy furniture; we just need enough space for our desks and the big printers for the plans. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a deadline is coming up, but that’s just how engineering goes. We like being centrally located because it makes it easier to get out to different project sites around the city when we need to check on things in person. It's just a solid, working office.
