Our office is tucked away on Ansari Road, right in the Bunder area. If you know this part of town, you know it’s always busy with trucks and people moving goods. Being near the port makes sense for an export business like Mallar Exports Pvt. Ltd. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking paperwork for shipments. It’s not always easy, things get delayed or the weather messes with the schedules, but that is part of the job. The building isn't brand new, it has that old Bunder character to it. We have a small team here. Most of us have been working in exports for years, so we’ve seen a lot of changes in how things are moved. We don’t really go in for big advertisements. Usually, people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been dealing with us for a decade. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up talking about the day’s work. We just handle the day-to-day tasks of getting goods from one place to another. It’s a lot of coordination. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks, but we get through it by the end of the week. It’s a steady kind of life here on Ansari Road. We just keep our heads down and make sure the boxes get to where they’re supposed to go.
