Malabar Tropicals

Malabar Tropicals sits right here on Debinibas Road at 65/4. It's a busy spot usually. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot. We spend a lot of time moving things around the floor. It’s not fancy. The walls could use some paint, but we're too busy with the actual work. You hear the traffic outside all day. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to say hello. We have been at this address for a while now. The space is filled with whatever came in that morning. It gets a bit cramped when several deliveries show up at once. We don't have a big office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs where we sit for lunch. Most of the time, someone is out back or handling something near the door. The weather affects how we do things, especially when it rains hard on this road. We just keep the doors open and get on with it. It’s a lot of physical labor. My hands are usually dirty by noon. We don't mind it much. It is just how the day goes here at 65/4. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, so we just wait it out or find something to do in the dark. It isn't a corporate setup. It's just a place where things get done every single day, year after year. There is always something to clean or move, and that keeps us occupied until it's time to lock up and head home.
