Our office is tucked away at 888/2 in Madhurdahpo. It is part of the East Kolkata Township Project which has been changing quite a bit lately. You might have seen the construction around here if you ever drive through this side of town. We are a realty company but we keep things pretty low-key in the office. There are usually three or four of us around during the day. It gets dusty outside because of all the new buildings going up nearby. We have been working out of this spot for a bit and it feels like home now. The space is not very big so we have to be organized with all our files and maps. Sometimes clients come in looking for advice on plots or houses, and we just sit down and have a chat with them over some water or tea. It is not a corporate setup where everything is shiny. We have some old chairs and a table that has seen better days. But it works for us. Living and working in the township area means we see the changes every day. People often ask us how the project is going and we just tell them what we see from our window. It is a practical life here. We just handle the real estate side of things and try to be useful to the folks who stop by our door for a chat about the local area.
