Majumder Electronics

Majumder Electronics has been at 1, B.N. Das Road in Hindomotor for a long time. This part of Hooghly is where we grew up, so it made sense to open the shop here. It’s a small place, packed with spare parts, old circuit boards, and tools scattered across the benches. We mostly spend our time fixing whatever people bring in. It could be a television that won't turn on or something smaller like a radio. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know our way around a soldering iron. The shop gets a bit cramped when there are too many items waiting to be picked up. We don’t really do fancy displays. The windows are mostly just full of boxes and things we’re working on. Sometimes people stop by just to chat about what’s going on in the neighborhood. We know the regulars pretty well. It’s not like those big electronics stores in the city where everything is shiny and new. Here, things are a bit dusty and we usually have wires hanging from the ceiling. It’s a quiet life on B.N. Das Road, and we like it that way. We just keep our heads down and try to figure out why a machine stopped working. It’s satisfying when you finally find the one tiny part that was causing all the trouble and get it running again. It takes patience, but we have plenty of that.
