Mafoi Management Consultants is located in Pokajora Gram in the district of Burdwan, West Bengal. This is a local office, so it isn't like the big corporate buildings you see in Kolkata. It’s a bit more rural and the pace is definitely slower here. We work out of a simple building that fits in with the rest of the gram. Most of the people working here are from the local area, so we all know each other pretty well. We do management consulting, but we do it in a way that makes sense for where we are. There’s no need for big words or complicated explanations. We just sit down and figure out the best way to handle the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power is a bit unreliable, so we have to plan our work around that. Being in Pokajora Gram means we are surrounded by a lot of green and it’s much quieter than a city. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic, so we usually know exactly who is coming to see us. It’s an honest way to make a living. We keep our files in order and make sure the accounts are right. There are no fancy meetings or PowerPoint shows every day. Just regular people doing regular work in a small corner of Burdwan. We just show up every morning and do what we are supposed to do until it is time to go.
