Maffick Home Products Pvt. Ltd. is situated at 70C, Purna Das Road. If you know South Kolkata, you know this road is full of life and small shops. Our office is tucked away here, and it feels very much like a part of the local community. We deal with various home products, so the office often looks like a bit of a showroom that hasn't been tidied up in a while. There are stacks of kitchenware and household items in the corners. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, and the building itself has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow. The tea stall right outside is basically our second office because we spend so much time there talking to vendors. It’s a small operation, and we don't have many employees, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. One day you might be answering phones and the next you're helping pack a delivery. We don't spend money on fancy brochures or big ads. Most of our neighbors know us, and word of mouth is how we keep going. The rain in Kolkata can make getting to the office a bit of a challenge during the monsoon, but we usually manage to open on time. It’s a cozy place to work, even if it gets a bit cramped when new stock arrives. We just focus on the daily tasks.
