M S M S Engineering College has an office that isn't exactly what you might expect. We are located in Flat 4D, Block 3 of Club Town Estates at 87 Dumdum Road in Kolkata. It is a residential-style setup for our administrative side, and it works out well for us. Dumdum Road is always packed with buses, cars, and rickshaws, so getting here can be a bit of an adventure every morning. Once you get inside the gates of the estate, though, it is much quieter and peaceful. We have been at this address, 700074, for a while now. The office feels a bit like a home because it basically is one. We have our files in the cupboards and desks set up where the dining table might have been in a normal flat. It is a very Kolkata way of doing things, finding a corner and making it work for business. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a fountain or a glass elevator. We just have a door with a small nameplate. The staff here is like a small family. We know each other's families and what everyone had for lunch. It is a comfortable place to spend the day. We don't use big words to describe our work. We just handle the paperwork, talk to the people who come by, and keep things moving.
