Bhowanipur is a busy place and being on Bakul Bagan Road means there is always something going on outside our door. Our office at 90A is just one of those typical Kolkata buildings where people have been working for a long time. At M N Dastur And Company P Ltd Kolkata, we don’t really go for the high-rise glass building style. We prefer being tucked away in a neighborhood like this. The rooms are a bit cramped sometimes with all the folders and equipment, but it feels lived in. You can hear the sounds of the street, the horns, and the people shouting, which is just part of being in Kolkata. We get to work early to beat the worst of the heat and the traffic. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the others take their tea. It's a small team in this specific branch. We handle the technical side of things and spend a lot of time looking at drawings or typing out reports. It isn't glamorous work but it's important to the people we do it for. We don't have a big reception area or a coffee machine that makes fancy drinks. We just have a kettle and a few chairs for visitors. If you come by, you'll see us mostly hunched over our desks. It’s just how we operate here in the Bhowanipur office and it seems to work for us even when the rains make everything a bit messy outside.
