Lic Housing Finance Ltd. has its regional office right here in the heart of Kolkata at the Hindustan Building. If you know the city, you probably know 4 C.R. Avenue as it is a pretty well-known spot for business. Asit Kumar is one of the main people here keeping things moving along. It is a busy office with a lot of people coming in and out all day asking about home loans and papers. The building itself has been around for a long time and it has that classic Kolkata feel to it. Inside, it is just a bunch of us working at our desks, dealing with folders and computer screens. We spend a lot of time talking on the phone and trying to sort out the details for people who want to buy a house. It can get pretty hectic when the weather is sticky outside and the traffic on C.R.
