Larsen & Toubro

We’re located at 73/1, Golf Club Road, over in Kolkata 33. It’s a nice enough area, a bit greener than some other parts of the city. Being Larsen & Toubro, people expect us to have this massive complex, but this office is actually quite modest. It’s where a lot of the local coordination happens. We spend our days tucked away here, dealing with whatever comes across the desk. The street outside can get a bit crowded with cars, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards clicking. We don’t have a fancy canteen, so we usually just bring our own lunch or go somewhere nearby. The office is a bit cluttered, to be honest. There are blueprints rolled up in corners and stacks of documents that we keep meaning to archive. But we know where everything is, mostly. It’s a human place. We have our good days and our slow days. Nobody wears a suit unless they absolutely have to for a big meeting. Usually, it's just regular clothes and hard work. We like it that way. It feels less like a corporate machine and more like a group of people trying to do a job. 73/1 is just a regular building on a regular road. We’ve been here long enough that the postman doesn’t even need to look at the sign anymore. We just keep our heads down and get on with it.
