We are based at 37/5 Harish Neogi Road, which is also 54 Gourebere Lane in Kolkata. Lalataksha Developers Private Limited is the name on the door. It is a typical Kolkata neighborhood with a lot of narrow streets and old houses. We do development work, which means we are often looking at old spots and thinking about what they could become. Our office is a bit small but we make it work. We have been in this part of town for years. It is a lot of work dealing with the local authorities and getting all the permits right. We don't really go for those big polished advertisements. We just do our job and let the buildings speak for themselves. Sometimes we are at the office late trying to figure out a problem with a site. It is just a few of us here. We know the neighbors and they know us. Working on Harish Neogi Road means we are right in the middle of everything. It is a lot of walking and talking to people to get things moving. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay busy. There is always a new project to look at or an old one to finish up. We don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. It's just hard work and being around the city every day. We hope to keep doing this for a long time.
