Lakme Training Academy

Our place is on Bipin Behari Ganguly Street, which is a really busy part of Kolkata. The address is 284 B, and it’s an old building like many others in this area. We have the training academy set up inside where students come to learn the basics. It gets quite cramped when a new batch starts, with everyone trying to practice at the same time. The street noise outside is constant, lots of horns and people shouting. Inside, we have rows of mirrors and practice stations. Some of the equipment is a bit worn out, but it still works fine for learning. We spend a lot of time sweeping up hair or cleaning up spilled powders. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. You’ll see people practicing different looks on each other all day long. The stairs are narrow, so you have to be careful when two people are trying to pass. Kolkata weather makes the rooms get a bit stuffy, so we have a couple of big fans going. We don’t have any fancy lobby or anything; you just walk in and the work starts. Most of the instructors have been doing this for years and know exactly how to handle the new students. It’s a loud, busy, and sometimes messy environment, but that’s just how it is on BB Ganguly Street. We just try to get the training done properly every day.
