We set up L B Engineering on 2/123 M. B Road in Behala quite some time ago. Kolkata-700060 is a city that never really stays quiet, and this road is no exception. Our place is right where all the action is. Most days start with the sound of buses honking outside and the smell of tea from the stall next door. We spend a lot of time working with different tools and metal parts, so the shop is usually a bit of a mess. There are piles of things in the corners that we keep meaning to organize, but we always seem to get a new job in before we can get to it. We do not have a fancy reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. People just walk in and find us in the back working on something. We do a lot of repairs and custom engineering stuff that keeps us busy from morning until late evening. The humidity in Kolkata can be tough in the summer, so we have a couple of old fans that just move the hot air around. We have known most of our customers for years, and they know they can just drop by whenever they have a problem. It is a very local way of doing things. We do not bother with much paperwork unless we really have to. It is mostly just hard work and getting our hands dirty every single day. We like being in Behala because it feels like home.
