Kwik Print

Kwik Print has been a fixture on Elgin Road for quite a while now. We are located at No-15/1, right near the Rabindra Sadan Metro Station at the big crossing of Chowringhee and Elgin Road. Because of the metro being so close, this is probably one of the busiest corners in the city. There are always students from the nearby colleges and office workers rushing in to get things copied or printed at the last minute. Our shop is full of the sound of machines running and the smell of warm toner. It’s a small space, so it can feel a bit crowded when four or five people are waiting for their turn, but we try to move as fast as we can. We don't have time for fancy talk or complicated processes. People just want their work done quickly and correctly. The crossing outside is always a mess of cars and people, but we like the energy of it. We often see the same faces every morning as people head to work. Our counters are a bit scratched up from years of use, and we have boxes of paper stacked up almost to the ceiling in the back room. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do, and we’ve been doing it right here on this corner for as long as I can remember.
