Datta Graphics

You can find us over at 10, Kartik Bose Street, which is right near the Amherst Street Post Office. Datta Graphics has been around this part of Kolkata for quite a while now. The street can get pretty narrow and busy, especially with people heading to the post office all day. Inside our shop, it usually smells like paper and printing ink. We handle a lot of different graphic stuff, mostly just setting up layouts and getting things ready for print. It’s not a huge studio with modern art on the walls; it’s more of a working space with computers, stacks of paper, and people trying to meet deadlines. We do a lot of work for the local community, like flyers, small booklets, or even just basic typesetting for people who aren't good with computers. Sometimes the electricity goes out or a printer starts making a weird noise, and we have to pause everything to fix it. It's just the way things go here in the city. We don't try to sound bigger than we are. We're just a local business helping other locals get their printing done. People usually stop by to check on their proofs or to talk about a design they have in mind. We have a few regular customers who have been coming to us for years because they know exactly where to find us and they like the way we work.
