We are over at 10 Kesto Das Paul Lane in Calcutta. This is an older part of the city, and the lane itself is quite narrow. You have to be careful when you’re driving down here. Our office is a simple building that fits right into the neighborhood. It’s not a big corporate tower. Inside, the Kpmg team works in a space that’s been around for many years. We have old wooden desks and cabinets filled with folders. It smells a bit like old paper and tea in here. We don't have fancy air conditioning in every corner, so we use fans to keep the air moving. It’s a very local vibe. Most of us live nearby or take the bus to get in. We spend our days handling the usual business tasks. There’s always someone coming by with a delivery or a question. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we have everyone in the office at once, but it makes for a friendly atmosphere. We don’t use any marketing jargon here. We just tell it like it is. The building has some character to it, even if it’s a bit worn down in places. It’s a practical place for us to work and we’ve grown used to the quirks of the building. It’s just our little corner of Calcutta where we handle our business as best as we can every day.
